Your camera roll,
sorted in minutes.
CubbySort shows every photo and video that is not in an album yet. Tap an album to file it, swipe up to trash it, swipe down to make it a favorite. Albums are real folders that every gallery app sees. No account, no subscription, and your photos never leave your phone.
Free with ads · CubbySort Pro: no ads, offline · Phone & tablet
Swipe.
Tap an album.
Done.

How it works
One photo at a time.
One tap per photo.
Three steps, and nothing changes on your phone until you apply your moves.
- 01Open UnsortedCubbySort gathers every photo and video that is not in one of your albums yet. Start with everything, or pick Camera, Screenshots, Downloads, any folder or any month.
- 02Tap an album for each photoThe album grid sits right under the photo: one tap files it. Swipe up to put it in the trash, down to make it a favorite, sideways to go back and forth. Undo goes back 50 steps.
- 03Apply your movesTap Apply when you are ready. Android asks you to confirm, CubbySort moves the files into the album folders with their dates kept, and shows exactly what was moved or skipped.

Album grid
Every album
one tap away.
The album grid under the photo shows your pinned albums first, then the ones you used last, then the rest from A to Z. Choose one to three rows, search, jump by letter, or make a new album without leaving the photo.
- Pinned, recent, then A to Z
- Search and an A–Z jump bar
- New album right from the grid

Albums
Real folders,
seen by every gallery app.
Each album is a real folder on your phone or SD card, so your gallery app, file manager and backup see the same albums. Create albums, add folders you already have, rename, pin and reorder them. Empty albums stay.
- Phone storage and SD cards
- Moves keep the date a photo was taken
- Album browser with multi-select: move, trash, favorite, share

Trash
Changed your mind?
Take it back.
Swiping up only puts a photo in CubbySort's trash. Look it over, restore anything, then empty it. On Android 11 and newer the items go to Android's own trash, recoverable for about 30 days, or you can delete them for good.
- Nothing changes until you apply or empty the trash
- Android's own confirmation for every batch
- A result screen with what was moved, deleted or skipped

Similar photos
Five shots of the same thing?
Keep the best one.
CubbySort finds similar photos on your phone and marks them in the deck. Pro opens them side by side with a sharpness score, size and resolution, so you keep the best and trash the rest in one tap.
- Similar groups found on the phone, never uploaded
- Pro: side-by-side compare with a sharpness score
- Pro: keep this one, trash the others

On This Day
Rediscover
what you took years ago.
Pro shows the photos you took on this day, this week or this month in past years. A daily or monthly reminder tells you when new photos are waiting.
- Pro: this day, week or month in past years
- Optional reminder for new photos
- Favorites screen, also in your gallery app on Android 11+
And more
The small things,
done right.
Stats
Watch Unsorted
shrink day by day.
CubbySort counts what you sort on your phone. Stats show how much of your library is organized and what you sorted today and this week; Pro adds the full history.
- Each bar: photos still unsorted at the end of a day
- Small rises: new photos you took that day
- Last bar, in color: today
Illustrative example: two weeks of sorting a library of about 1,200 new photos.
Honest compatibility
What works
on which Android.
The free edition works from Android 7, CubbySort Pro from Android 4.3. What Android itself offers changes by version, and CubbySort tells you which applies on your phone.
| Android | Sort into albums | Android's trash | Favorites in your gallery app | Skip Android's confirmation | Only selected photos |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.3–10 | Yes | No: emptying the trash deletes | No | No | No |
| 11 | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| 12–13 | Yes | Yes | Yes | Optional | No |
| 14–16 | Yes | Yes | Yes | Optional | Yes |
CubbySort organizes the files on this phone. Copies in cloud services, such as your photo backup, are not moved or deleted: manage them in that service. Items in Android's trash still use space until it is emptied or about 30 days pass.
Pricing
Free with ads.
Or Pro, with no ads at all.
CubbySort comes in two editions on Google Play. The free edition sorts your whole library into up to 10 albums (6 pinned), with the trash, undo, favorites, videos, reminders, SD cards and basic stats, and shows ads; a one-time in-app Pro unlock removes the ads and adds unlimited albums and pins, compare, On This Day and full stats. CubbySort Pro is a separate paid app with every feature, no ads and no internet permission, and it runs on Android 4.3 and later.
CubbySort Pro
- Every feature, nothing to unlock
- Unlimited albums and pins
- No ads and no in-app purchases
- No internet permission: fully offline
- Runs on Android 4.3 and later
Both are one-time payments with no subscription: the Pro unlock inside the free edition, or the CubbySort Pro app. Google Play shows the price in your currency. Google Play's refund policy applies.
No catch.
Privacy
Your photos
never leave your phone.
Photos are shown, compared and moved on your phone only, and your albums list and decisions stay in a private database inside the app. CubbySort Pro has no internet permission at all; the free edition goes online only for Google's ads and Google Play purchases.
Never your photos, album names or file names. In the free edition, Google's ad service receives what its SDK needs to show ads, such as the advertising ID and device information, with your consent where the law requires it. Purchases are handled by Google Play. CubbySort Pro sends nothing. Privacy policy →
Questions,
answered.
Are my photos moved as soon as I tap an album?
No. CubbySort remembers your choice and moves the files when you tap Apply. Android asks you to confirm, and a result screen shows what was moved or skipped. Until then you can undo anything.
Will my other gallery apps see the albums?
Yes. Every album is a real folder on your phone or SD card, so your gallery app, file manager and backup see the same albums. Moving a photo keeps the date it was taken.
What happens when I swipe up?
The photo goes into CubbySort's trash. Nothing is deleted until you empty it. On Android 11 and newer the items then go to Android's own trash, recoverable for about 30 days; on older versions emptying the trash deletes them.
Does it move or delete my cloud backup too?
No. CubbySort organizes this phone's storage only. Copies in cloud services, such as your photo backup, are not touched: manage them in that service.
Why does it ask for all my photos and videos?
Its job is to show you everything that is not in an album yet and to keep that list up to date as you take new photos. The photos are processed on your phone only and are never sent anywhere. On Android 14+ you can allow only selected photos and add more later.
What is the difference between the free edition and CubbySort Pro?
Both sort the same way. The free edition is free with ads and sorts your whole library into up to 10 albums (6 pinned), with the trash, undo, favorites, videos, reminders, SD cards and basic stats; its one-time Pro unlock removes the ads and adds unlimited albums and pins, compare, On This Day and full stats. CubbySort Pro is a paid app with all of that, no ads, no in-app purchases and no internet permission, and it also runs on older phones from Android 4.3.
